@Ulysses I've been predicting for a while that Windwaker or Twilight Princess will get a 4K remaster, all visuals completely redone (like they did for Metroid Prime Remastered) but optimised for the new hardware. Imagine the best visuals in any Zelda game ever made.

The next new 3D Zelda is around 5 years away and having a Zelda Game that maybe many haven't played in the launch window may be a good marketing message.

@TSR3 The situation regarding the RTX 2050 is, once again, a problem with having only 4GB of VRAM. It limits what it can do.

Specs dont matter any more. Did the PS5 or series x get better games because of specs? Heck, 99% of games on the ps5 and series x have xbone and ps4 versions!

The "fun" will come from something else other than raw power.. mark my words.

PS5 Pro will have a tiny user base and the optimisations will be automated and rough. We won't see the improvements we saw on Xbox One X and certain PS4 Pro games. PS5 Pro is basically a quick GPU upgrade without the disc drive and twice as expensive as PS4 Pro. That makes me ask this question: How much do you think that Switch 2 will cost?

@MarioBrickLayer I'd rather have remakes of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, especially because I have the Wii U remasters of The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. 😁 Seriously, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask really need to be remade. The 3DS version of Ocarina of Time is nice but low-resolution and the 3DS version of Majora's Mask is a toned-down version to boot.

@Banjo- I don't know if this is a valid position, but I can't see remakes/remasters of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask happening due to NSO, if Nintendo think those games are valuable to subscribers then I'm not sure they will do remakes, whilst a number of Gamecube and Wii games have already been released on the Switch.

Plus if you look at the sales of the Wii U remakes, they only sold a fraction of what BOTW and TOTK sold, so there are lots of current gen Zelda players who haven't played them

@MarioBrickLayer Of course. It is not an exclusive choice, just my preference. Twilight Princess is one of the best entries in my opinion, so of course I'd welcome that along The Wind Waker, especially if they are finally 60 fps.

EDIT: So, does anyone want to guess the price of Switch 2?

@MarioBrickLayer I agree, I think the older Zeldas are ripe for a Switch 2 remake. Instead of a simple up-res remaster, like the Switch ports originally were going to be, it was probably smart of Nintendo to delay the dual release of Wind Waker/Twilight Princess. Now each of those games can be more fresh if they dole them out as individual remakes.

Twilight Princess especially is a great game to give a more visual remake for Switch 2. As the one with the most "realistic" style of the 3D Zeldas, which would be perfect for showcasing the Switch 2's capabilities.

However Ocarina of Time, as I've thought for years, is perhaps the number one candidate to be given a full FF7Remake reimagining, with its iconic legacy as one of the greatest games of all time. Plus as @Banjo- said, there is a lot more distance with the N64 than with other 3D Zeldas.

I think the original game on NSO can stand in parallel to a full remake. If anything, it was the simple HD Switch port of WW/TP that didn't offer anything new, either with visual upgrades or content, that would compete with GameCube NSO, which I believe will launch closely with Switch 2.
