Welcome to our Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Korok Seed Location guide.
In your travels through and above the land of Hyrule, you'll no doubt have come across Koroks hidden throughout the landscape. Much as they were in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Koroks are hidden in nooks and crannies all over the map in the Sky and on the Surface.
In this TOTK Korok guide, you'll find a list of every Korok seed in the game, complete with maps and instructions on how to solve each individual Korok puzzle. There are 1000 Korok Seeds to collect, so even the most self-sufficient Hylian explorers may need a helping hand with a few of these, even if you've found the Korok mask.
At the bottom of the guide, you'll find a TOTK Korok Seed FAQ section which will hopefully answer any remaining questions.

Zelda: TOTK Korok Location Guide
We've divided this Korok Seed Location guide based on Hyrule regions, with each region featuring separate lists for the Surface and its equivalent zone in the Sky.
All Korok Seeds (by Region, including Surface and Sky)
Korok Seed Puzzle Types
In order to collect each Korok Seed, you'll need to solve a small puzzle. These can be as simple as lifting up a small rock to tasks like carrying a Korok to a specific destination. Many of these puzzle types return from Breath of the Wild, while some are all-new in Tears of the Kingdom.
Below is a list of every type of puzzle we've encountered so far while hunting Koroks. We'll add more if we find them.
Ascend through stump
The little leafy tree stumps are back in various different ways, but a new variant is here to go with Link's new ability. Sometimes you'll see a stump on the ceiling, and you'll need to Ascend through it to get your prized Korok Seed.
Block puzzle
Using Ultrahand, find a nearby block and position it correctly to reveal the Korok. Typically, you'll want to study and mirror the appearance of a nearby block statue exactly.
Burn leaves
If you fina big pile of leaves, burn them to reveal a rock. Lift the rock to then reveal your Korok Seed.
Catch dandelion
Use a gust of wind to blow a dandelion seed off an edge, then dive/chase after it.
Chase lights
Sometimes you'll come across a sparking light racing across the ground. Catch it and you'll find a Korok.
Cork
Use Ultrahand to fuse a chain to something, then pull, or let the heavy item do the work for you.
Dive
Dive off a ledge into the circular water lily target in the water.
Examine lights
If you spot a static sparkling cloud, or lights, in the distance, all you need to do is go up and examine them for your Korok Seed.
Flowers
See a flower that stands out in the landscape? Touching it will invariably cause it to disappear and another to crop up nearby. Keep following the flower trail and you'll eventually get a Korok Seed for your troubles.
Glide to stump
You'll get a challenge where you need to glide from one spot to a tree stump without touching the ground. Do this and a Korok will appear.
Light ring
If you happen across a very short tree stump on your travels, stand on it to start a timed race. A floating circle will appear in the distance — reach the goal in time and you'll get a Korok Seed.
Move boulder
Exactly what it sounds like. Sometimes you'll see some unusually short trees with three branches. Nearby, you should find a boulder. Ultrahand the boulder into the tree to reveal your Korok.
Pair
A new puzzle type for Tears of the Kingdom, you'll find a Korok who wants transportation to a friend. It's up to you exactly how you deliver your Korok cargo to its destination, but you'll receive two Korok Seeds for a successful delivery.
Place food
If you come across some statues with bowls in front of them, have a look to see what fruit or food has been placed in them. Fill the empty bowls with the same item, and then a Korok will appear.
Ring bell
Sometimes, you'll see a bell, whether it's in the middle of a town or inside a ruined structure. Ring it with Ultrahand to shake out the Korok.
Rock
Simple enough. If there's a single rock suspiciously positioned somewhere, there's a good chance lifting it will reveal a Korok. Subsequently dropping the rock on the little guy's head is optional.
Rock pattern
If you find a circle, spiral, or other formation of rocks — or a petroglyph if you want to get all fancy — with one or two gaps, look around the area for the missing rock(s). Complete the shape for a Korok Seed.
Roof
One of the new puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom, you'll occasionally come across small houses that are missing part of the roof. Use Ultrahand to fix the house and a Korok will suddenly appear.
Shoot balloons
Sometimes you'll find balloons floating around Hyrule. Other times, you'll find a pinwheel out in the wild. Either activate the puzzle by standing next to the pinwheel or simply shoot the balloon to get a Korok Seed.
Shoot jar
You'll sometimes find little acorns or jars hidden in logs or under bridges. Shoot them with an arrow to get a Korok Seed.
Unfreeze rock
Most commonly found in the colder regions of Hyrule, there are times when you'll need to use fire fruit, red Chu Chu jelly, or anything fire-y to melt some ice to free a rock. Then, all you need to do is lift that rock and get the Korok Seed
Korok FAQs
Here are several common questions about how Korok Seeds work in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom:
How many Korok Seeds are there in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
There are 1,000 Korok Seeds to collect in TOTK.
However, there are still only 900 Korok locations. That's because there are 800 Koroks that give you a single seed, and a further 100 puzzles — Pair puzzles — that give you two Korok Seeds. Easy, right?
What do I do with these Korok Seeds?
Take them to Hestu!
Just as in Breath of the Wild, after you find Hestu, giving the seeds to him enables you to upgrade your inventory and increase the number of available slots to carry weapons, shields, and bows.
