Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom: Outfits List - All Clothing & Bonus Effects

What's an adventure without a variety of clothes to change into? In Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda can change her outfit at the drop of a hat, and many pieces of clothing don't just change the Princess' appearance.

Below, we've listed all outfits in Echoes of Wisdom, how to get them, and what each piece of clothing does, if it does something beyond just looking good!

Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Outfits - All Clothing List

Here is every costume Zelda can wear in Echoes of Wisdom. You won't have the ability to change outfits until clearing out Hyrule Castle Dungeon.

Outside of the Royal Travel Attire, every single outfit in Echoes of Wisdom is an unlockable item — either a reward for a Side Quest or retrieved by scanning an amiibo.

Black Cat Clothes

"An odd getup that lets you speak with cats. It's a must-have for feline fans everywhere."

The Black Cat Clothes is a variant of the Cat Clothes. But rather than being brown, it's black! Zelda gets whiskers too. This outfit allows Zelda to speak to cats. Adorable.

To get it, you need to scan in any Ganondorf or Misc amiibo at any time after getting the Lands of the Goddesses Main Quest.

Blue Attire

"A beautiful and elegant dress fit for a princess. Wearing it makes you feel regal."

This is Zelda's classic dress but in blue. A beautiful outfit — perhaps inspired by A Link to the Past or Breath of the Wild? Despite how lovely the dress is, it doesn't do anything special.

To get it, simply scan in any Zelda amiibo any time after getting the Lands of the Goddesses Main Quest.

Cat Clothes

"An odd getup that lets you speak with cats. It's a must-have for feline fans everywhere."

The original Cat Clothes. Zelda can don a cat costume whenever she needs to talk to cats — or whenever she wants. Cats will have plenty of handy gameplay tips, and some will even give you hints on where to find other cats and other Side Quests.

To get this one, you need to feet the calico cat a Grilled Fish Echo at Kakariko Village. You'll do this as part of the Questioning the Local Cats Side Quest.

Customary Attire

"A beautiful and elegant dress fit for a princess. Wearing it makes you feel regal."

Now this is an outfit we're all familiar with. Zelda's classic dress. If you've played any of the older Zelda games, you'll have seen this dress a dozen times. As a costume, it's really just a fun throwback outfit and doesn't do anything.

You get the Customary Attire by completing the From the Heart Side Quest which is available after saving Hyrule Castle Town.

Dancing Outfit

"Traditional Gerudo dance wear. It's easy to move in and increases your spin area."

One of the outfits that was featured in pre-release trailers, the Dancing Outfit makes Zelda look like a Gerudo princess. It's pretty useful, too, as it expands the radius of Zelda's spin, meaning you can cut more grass down!

To get this piece of clothing, you need to clear the Ultimate Seed difficulty of Mango Rush in the Gerudo Desert's Oasis. You need to get 60 seeds to clear it. It's extremely helpful if you're trying to get the perfect run on Ultimate Seeds, too.

Disguise

"This hooded outfit conceals your identity. It's comfortable and east to move in."

You've all seen this outfit — this is Zelda's default look in Echoes of Wisdom. It's on the box art. She's wearing it in all of the trailers. For the first half of the game, this is the only outfit you can wear.

You get this by default as part of the main story. Impa gives it to you after you escape from Hyrule Castle and before you arrive at Suthorn Beach.

Green Tunic

"A tunic accented with a belt and a pointed hat. Wearing it fills you with courage."

If you really miss playing as Link in Echoes of Wisdom, then there's a way you can sort of replicate the experience. The Green Tunic makes Zelda look like the series' usual hero. It's pretty cute, honestly. it doesn't power up your Swordfighter Form, however.

You need to put the effort in to get this, however. You need to complete every single challenge at the Slumber Dojo, including the final unlockable trial.

Red Tunic

"A tunic accented with a belt and a pointed hat. Wearing it fills you with courage."

How about Link's outfit but in red? That's exactly what the Red Tunic is. Like the Green Tunic, the Red Tunic makes Zelda look like the sword-wielding hero, but it doesn't boost any other skills or stats.

To get this outfit, you need to scan in any Link amiibo you have at any time after getting the Lands of the Goddesses Main Quest.

Royal Travel Attire

"Noble attire passed down through the royal family. It fits perfectly and is well suited for a long journey."

A bit of a new outfit for Zelda — a hero needs a practical outfit to save the world, after all. This is basically Zelda's second default outfit, and the very first outfit you get after completing the Still Missing Main Quest.

It does nothing for Zelda apart from popping her hair up in a ponytail and giving her pants, but it's given to you as a present from the King of Hyrule after the Hyrule Castle Dungeon during the main story.

Silk Pajamas

"Comfortable sleepwear. Your hearts will recover faster as you rest on a bed."

Now we're talking — pajamas! You can actually get some very comfy-looking pajamas for Zelda in the second half of Echoes of Wisdom. And they're well worth getting too. The Silk Pajamas speed up your Heart recovery when resting on beds.

You need to return to Gerudo Town after getting the Lands of the Goddesses Main Quest and speak to Dohna up at the palace for the Dohna's Challenge Side Quest. You need to sneak through the treasury, where at the end, you'll find a chest with the Silk Pajamas. You get to keep them as a reward for completing the quest.

Stamp Suit

"A gift from the Stamp Guy. It proves that you completed the stamp rally."

If you love Stamp Guy, then this is the outfit for you. Zelda can look like Hyrule's favourite weird little guy, and while it doesn't do anything, it's a fun little outfit.

To get this piece of clothing, you need to collect all 25 Stamps in the Stamp Rally.

How to change Outfits

To change Zelda's outfit, head to the Clothing section of the Equipment menu.

You won't be able to change outfits until you've completed the Still Missing quest.

Can you remove Zelda's hood from her Disguise?

No, you cannot remove Zelda's hood from the Disguise outfit.

There are a few cutscenes in Hyrule Castle where she will lower the hood, but when you leave, she will pull it back up, and there's no way to lower it again.

What's the best Clothing in Echoes of Wisdom?

Honestly, most of the Clothing in Echoes of Wisdom is just for cosmetic purposes. As such, there isn't really a "best" piece of clothing. But there are a few that are very useful.

The Silk Pajamas is probably the best overall clothing in the game as it speeds up heart recovery. It's a nice little boost, too, and doesn't have any other drawbacks, either.

Otherwise, the Dancing Outfit is great for mopping up those final Heart Pieces and Might Crystals.
