This looks to be okay so far…don’t know about getting it at full price though. I can’t help but think this started off as a Kirby game though

@ryancraddock the My Nintendo Store UK just dropped the pre-orders for the Noah & Mio amiibo and I thought you might want to let people know since they're just open for anyone to order... they are 1 per customer but that doesn't seem to prevent scalpers at all so people need to be quick on the draw.

Yes this is an interesting take on a princess peach game. I loved super princess peach back in the day but this looks far more original, and we still get peach in some Mario platformers these days anyway.

I need to finally play super princess peach on DS. I avoided it for the longest time because of the fact it was too girly looking and i couldn't bring myself to walk up to the counter at some store and buy it. I was a grown man wanting to play a princess peach game. It would have been too awkward.

These days i can just download right off the eshop and no one will know the difference.

@Rykdrew Whilst this looks far from what you call a $19 indie game, Some $19 indie games have given me some of my best gaming experiences if I'm being honest.

@fox_mattcloud $19 indie games have given me more fun than $60 Nintendo games like Metroid Dread, New Mario Bros U Deluxe, Pokken Tournament, Arms,Yoshi’s crafted world, Zelda Link’ s awakening, Mario Tennis Aces, Mario Golf, Mario Strikers, Kirby Star Allies..…and so on…

Getting Luigi's mansion vibes from this spin off. I'll definitely be watching, but not overly charmed by peach so unless it reviews really well I'll hold.

@OorWullie I don't think so. I'd guess it was made by NST or 1up Studio or a small team inside the EAD's 3d Mario development team. Or a collaboration between them.

@Sequel I am almost certain that it's built in the same engine as Luigi's Mansion 3. Peach even has the exact same suitcase!

Is this the first time Peach is headlining a game?

I know she's been a usable character in a handful.

@farrgazer I believe the only other time Peach has been the main character was in Super Princess Peach on the DS.

princess peach showtime seems like a kirby game. all those abilities are also kirby copy abilities (sword, Ninja, Cook)

@Rykdrew I have high hopes that this game will be fun and entertaining, but definitely niche and can't disagree that it will probably join the bargain bin very fast. I'm just waiting for the inevitable Hollywood-esque blame the audience, if it fails. You certainly won't be able to blame the marketing team. Pretty sure everyone, even non-gamers, has seen it advertised, by this point.

I just downloaded the demo and will play later today but I feel like this one won't be worth the asking price of $60. Feels like we are paying that Nintendo tax yet again. If replayability is high then maybe but will wait to buy either way

Based on the demo, this is a $5.99 game, not a 59.99 one.

I'm going to hold back and see what reviews say. Super Princess Peach on the DS was great but this is a very different game.

Judging by the demo that I beat while paying about 15% attention to due to its toddler like ease, I'm surprised anyone would drop more than $30 on an outsourced pseudo Nintendo game that almost plays itself it's so easy.

Lots of complaints about the game after the demo.
So maybe £40 for this is not a great deal after all.
