Topic: What Game(s) are You Currently Playing?

Recreating this thread, since the active/long running one we had has apparently vanished (the only one I could find is an old locked one with 3 comments, with it's last comment redirecting to the now vanished original).

Anyhow, let's get on with it.

Ace Combat 7 (PS4) - A bit tougher than I had anticipated, but a fun, slick looking game. Looks like I'm about halfway through (though I haven't touched the VR mode yet, either).

Sakura Wars (PS4) - Still slowly working through this one as well. Recently started up chapter 6, so I think I'm on the back side of it. I like to play something a little more actiony on the side to balance out it's slowness (see above), but I am enjoying it.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World (Switch) - Just beat the mid-boss of the water dungeon. Nothing stand out, but it's a nice enough game so far.

@Eel What happened to the original one?? I thought if it's an ongoing conversation it's ok that it keeps going. Is there a time limit now on how long we can keep a thread active?

To nobody's surprise, I've been playing the Rocket League. Sitting in platinum 3 ranked 3v3. Maybe it'll get diamond rank sometime this summer. The skill progress is great, and gameplay is so fun at higher ranks. I have an ish-ton of hours. Splatoon 2 is no longer my most played game. So, Splatoon, you can sit on it!! Yer trash now.(kidding, can't wait for Splatoon 3)

I've just been playing Xenoblade 2 and replaying Mother 3. I have a lot to say about both...eventually.

Funny thing, I was planning to replay Mother 3 for a while, not even realizing it was the 15th anniversary. So that timing is fun. I will say, Mother 3 is still fantastic. Some parts of the story aren't quite as strong as I remember, but others are a lot better and smarter than I considered at the time.

@Eel, huh, that's an even older one than the one that vanished (seriously, there was a long running one that was regularly being used up until at least a couple weeks ago, and it's just gone). I certainly remember posting in it not too long ago.

Been playing Earth Defense Force 4.1, what a game to play with friends. Seriously good fun. Particularly liking some of the vehicles. Taking on a giant Mechs with a helicopter is so much fun

Smash Bros Ultimate, Ice Climber, Fnaf, and Pac-Man 99. Got my first Win in Pac99, which I'm hyped about. Only my 6th game, I've played a LOT of Pac-Man in my life lol

@RR529 then the most likely case is the that the thread creator deleted their account. Another missing thread was reported last week, so perhaps the same person created both.

Lately I’m having a blast playing through the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, really loving it.

On Switch, I’ve been playing Hyper Light Drifter, a very nice indie title.

On Xbox, been meaning to play through the Lost Planet trilogy for years, so i started this but haven’t returned to it.

Mostly playing Mass Effect trilogy. Right now I’m about half way through 2.

Been playing Dragon Quest XI S on the Switch. Still pretty early on, so I have a bit of a way to go. lol

@Wargoose, I've really been tempted by those titles whenever I see them on sale on PS4, as they look like good silly fun. I may wait until the HD version of the second game hits Switch before I try one though (I've just really been enjoying 6th gen ports on the system).

@Eel That's a shame. There should be a way that if a user deleted their account the thread shouldn't be deleted, that just seems kinda stupid especially if it's a long running thread or a general thread. Is their no way to avoid that? Just seems kind of a shame to lose a popular thread in such a way.

@Tasuki as far as I know, the way it currently works is if the user deletes their account, everything they made goes with it. Maybe it would be worth bringing it up in the ideas and suggestions thread.

I do know some sites leave the threads up, with a masked username.

@Eel Yeah maybe Ant can figure out a work around. I believe the original What Are you Playing thread was created by WaveBoy, and it seems he did indeed delete his account.

That's legitimately frightening especially for the Nintendo Switch thread, the Chit-Chat thread and various 50k+ post threads. Of course it'll be nice to have the entire archive but that would suck if the original creators deleted their accounts.

But I'm playing Stardew Valley, Dragon Quest XI, FFXII, FFXV, Gran Turismo: Sport, plus Persona 5 Royal (again).
