The Plucky Squire was revealed today, it looks super charming. Still a ways away, but for sure one I'll be keeping an eye on. I hope the gameplay matches the quality of the aesthetics, but it certainly looks promising.
The trailer does tend to suggest it's going to be a game to rival Team Cherry's Hollow Knight as one of the greatest debuts of all-time. But trailers are meant to do that, so let's see.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
The transition to the 3D segments was really well done. I wasn’t initially too interested with the 2D section since Turner’s art style, while charming, doesn’t appeal too much to me, but the transition was introduced so quickly and looks so good that it hits hard. Definitely a great trailer and looking forward to it. The presentation and certain aspects of it gameplay remind me of a lot of different series but it’s all very cohesive.
Some folks are miffed the Switch version won't run at 60 fps despite the trailers suggesting it would.
Those folks don't understand that most third party game trailers aren't running on Switch hardware.

It's probably clocked at 4K+60fps on PS5, and could very well get a 90fps boost on PS5 Pro. Mind you, an extra 30fps might not suite this type of game. Either way, that's the version I'm getting if reviews turn out hunky-dory. I mean, you've got to at least give it props for being unique and doing something different.
I'm likely not getting it on Switch anyway but 30fps is perfectly fine IMO as long as it's stable. I still can't really tell the difference without seeing it side-by-side.
@NintendoByNature Not sure that that's that unusual, could just be an embargo on reviews till a certain date/time. If the game comes out and there's still no reviews because there were no review copies sent out to begin with, then it's suspicious.
@BenAV yea for sure. I'd imagine with a highly anticipated game like this, review codes would've been sent by now. Especially If the developers are confident in the product.
