@WoomyNNYes I think it's the only game I've ever played where falling into a bottomless pit doesn't cause damage, the game just tries to make it feel traumatizing instead.
Edit: I was curious if that was listed in the ESRB 10+ rating, but instead it invokes burning creatures alive as a rationalle for not being E for everybody. Which I suppose is fair.
....Am I like, missing some extremely important mechanic here or something? I'm starting to find myself really irritated with this game at this point. I'm at the fire temple, and at the point of not wanting to bother anymore...constantly falling into lava, unable to kill enemies because everything I throw at them are completely useless (and of course I'm out of energy but even then I can't really do much in Link mode either when the enemies are in lava. :/ ). Huge pools of lava that I can't get across no matter what I do...I can't rely on beds all the time. What am I doing wrong here?

@Joeynator3000 There are some spots where holding a bird over your head and gliding helps a lot. equipping jump boots also helps. In terms of killing things, birds do a pretty good job on the small critters. The stronger birds will still catch on fire and die horribly but they will do some serious damage first. Also, water blocks are a good way to drown some enemies. The big enemy echoes which cost 5 also can generally hurt pretty much anything.
Oh, and make sure you have the echo platform stone thing which floats in lava. Also pick up the floating lava blocks which are already hanging out and move them to where you want with x.
@Joeynator3000 try using water blocks to make swimmable ladders and bridges. The lava rock is also pretty handy to use as a platform over lava (but it’s expensive to place).
Hydrozols and echoes that can cause damage without making direct contact will be pretty useful against fiery enemies (the green winged mushroom is by far my favorite attacking echo in the entire game).
Use the purple winged mushroom to glide over large distances whenever there’s spouts of steam around (you can use them to regain altitude, and the mushroom will blow in the opposite direction to where you’re facing, so it flies very fast)
@FishyS ...Wait, I can hold flying enemies?... -.-
I thought the only thing I could do was use bind and follow, which I found completely useless. Ugh...

@Joeynator3000 That mountain tries to teach you that mechanic but you may have somehow skipped the relevant npcs. Sometimes you need to pick them up fast after you summon them or they will fly away.
@FishyS 😆 it’s actually a powerful effect, fire stops becoming a factor completely. You can even walk right through flamethrowers and over hot surfaces no problem.
Well anyways, guess I'll try that out with winged echoes later, then...I kept thinking that maybe there was a cucco echo out there that I missed or something. x_x
And when the game gave me the only hint at the volcano to "borrow some wings" (or whatever it was, lol), I just tried various winged echoes and used bind and follow, and it didn't work at all. >.< lol

I just finished the fire temple last night and it was my favorite dungeon so far. Yea, use some keese, lava rocks as platforms. Use the boomerang moblins for distand enemies or a bird type like electric keese to stun. You'll get it.
I wonder how hard the puzzles in Echoes of Wisdom are, for people who are new to the series?
The town right below the path to the fire temple does explicitly tell you to pick up a cucco to glide. I would think anyone new to the series wouldn't think cuccos are special and would try it with echoes.
@FishyS
True that was a big hint for this puzzle. Now I am not sure whether I tried to glide with a cucco because of Link's Awakening, or because a friendly villager told me about it. Or it might have been the cucco on the windmill . It is definitely wise to speak with every villager.

These things Dampe wants for building automatons have been a serious roadblock. The descriptions are crap. I didn't think the puff of smoke animal was what it was. And I've completed so much of eldin and not-found this fireworks BS dampe wants. I only figured it out because I cheated and watched Austin John Plays automaton video. I had zero reason to go back to where the fireworks guy is. I never would have found it! (This was so poor, I thought. Maybe I missed a cue for this, but I never noticed one)
I may be misremembering, but I’m fairly certain the game explicitly told me “you can use flying echoes to glide” the first time I learned an echo with wings.
@WoomyNNYes I found him because I remembered Dampe mentioning someone who made fireworks lived in the mountain, and the only people living there are in Goron city.
(And also because I tend to explore every room in every building I find, but to be honest I visited Eldin first during my playthrough because of Dampe)
