Update #2 [Fri 27th Nov, 2020 12:40 GMT]: The Mohammad bin Salman Charity Foundation has confirmed that it is investing 813 million riyals ($223 million) in SNK, giving it a 33.3% stake in the company. That values the company at $669 million (thanks, GamesIndustry.biz).
The purchase has been made via 'Electronic Games Development Company,' a wholly-owned subsidiary, and stipulates that the foundation will eventually purchase an additional 17.7% of SNK's shares, giving it 51% ownership of the Japanese video game company. That would give the Prince – via his foundation and the EGDC – a controlling stake in the firm.
SNK Corp's share price on KOSDAQ has risen in response to the news, jumping 30% to 16,500 Korean won ($14.93).
Update #1 [Thu 26th Nov, 2020 12:20 GMT]: It would seem that EGDC is becoming the company's largest shareholder, rather than buying the company outright. The deal will see EGDC gain 33.3% of SNK stock.
Original story [Thu 26th Nov, 2020 11:15 GMT]: Well, here's a story we didn't think we'd be writing this morning.
According to reports coming out of the Far East (thanks, ResetEra), video game veteran SNK – famous for properties such as Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug and King of Fighters – has been purchased by the Saudi-based Electronic Gaming Development Company (EGDC).
The deal – which has been signed today – transfers all SNK stock to EGDC. However, it is reported that the agreement has been 100% funded by the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who is the largest shareholder of EGDC. It would appear that the acquisition of SNK is part of the Prince's "Saudi Vision 2030" program, which seeks to diversify the traditionally oil-led Saudi economy via sectors such as tourism and technology.
The Crown Prince is a controversial figure in global politics and is accused of having a hand in the assassination of Washington Post journalist and Saudi dissident Jamal Khashoggi in 2018. He is also accused of detaining and torturing human rights activists and actioning the mass execution of 37 civilians in 2019.
SNK was purchased by a group of Chinese investors back in 2015, with the aim to turn the company's properties into a "Marvel-style" multimedia hit factory.

Rip SNK....again. It’s been real
Excuse me? Really? What?
Welp. This won't end in controversy whatsoever.
Got nothing to say except that, unlike the US, Saudi Arabia actually has laws against LGBT people. Just thought I let you know
Won't be buying anything they put out then.
Well, when the Oil will end some Day, the Saudis had to rise their Fists and Swords... in King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown!
It was clear that the Company was searching for new Foundations.
You can get so many Games with Amazon Prime from them.
Intelligent Startegy from the Saudis to also buy some Game Companies
Better that than other Bullyschitty.
Strangly, i mostly dislike their Games, the most i like are King of Monsters and that "Puzzle Shooter" where i forgett the Name all the Time.
If this keeps SNK in business and their workers employed, then so be it. Looking forward to many more SNK games on the future.
Well this is really bad I love snk but I definitely won't be buying any more of there new games from now on 😠
this is awful
Is there no "fit & proper person's test" going on here or is that just in sport franchises? Anyway, sad news if true.
As a means of balance, there are plenty of unethical and highly controversial, super-rich shareholders and owners around, I'm sure.
If true then... whatever. As long as they let them do what they keep doing it won't bother me in the slightest. I mean the Chinese investment didn't negatively affect them.
@Thoughts I mean technically in the eyes of the law he isn't. Most intelligence agencies think he ordered the killing but he hasn't (and won't) actually be charged with anything.
@status-204 Yeah if the WWE shows over there are anything to go by every female character would be covered up completely if not removed entirely. Sure a few western games activists wouldn't mind that though.
Can't see that happening, they aren't going to devalue a brand they invest in. They aren't stupid.
So many racists here. 💀💀💀. Is this what you are being taught?
Either way, I don't care who bought them if it helps them continue to make games and fund them, then it's all good. 😊 😊
Saudi Arabia's Princes are guilty of numerous crimes, including slavery. They and all of their country should be held accountable, instead of being a playground for the rich to do whatever they want. I won't be supporting SNK from now on.
@boxoctosis why go so far?
what no more scantily clad girls anymore just various shades of brukas
RIP SNK boobs.
But really, I found this news to be strangely hilarious.
@NintendoKnight It's not racist to be, putting it mildly, highly skeptical of a regime that doesn't know the meaning of human rights taking over a beloved video game developer / publisher.
@Entrr_username : I strongly doubt that people in Saudi Arabia care so long as bedroom activities remain in the bedroom. They have strict laws on sexual propriety generally.
Little does anyone know that the Saudi Prince is actually a gamer. In fact, he is the first Saudi Gamer Prince. His vision is to train his army with King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown. After all his army can do Hanzo's disappearing log trick, he decides to buy Japan and starts building the first "real" Gundam mech. Hehe
Glad I own what I wanted from the ACA Neo Geo line. Don't intend to support future SNK releases.
Can they do worse with the franchise than the cringy "Terry butt-slap ad" for the mobile game?
Mai Shiranui, it's been a pleasure.
Just to add himself as a character, to be beaten up. 🤪
Well that was unexpected.
Things I would do if I had monies
@Slowdive Only one of those countries (China) is a dictatorship, the others are all democracies where people vote the leaders in. Just because you don't like a certain leader does not make them a dictatorship.
I do believe this is the dude that emails me all the time asking for my banking information to transfer over my share of the loot. Now that I know he's even a higher roller with this purchase I may finally respond.
@Slowdive
Sure, nothing against that. But people on this website are like:
"Oh no, it is now Saudi, won't buy anything from SNK anymore".
If so, I really do wonder how the responses would have been, if it was a company from another country, especially if it was from another controversial country but a European one.🙃🙃🙃
@BeautyandtheBeer And since when exactly has North Korea been a democracy?
@Slowdive Russia perhaps kind of iffy but Poland, Hungary? I did not know the EU allowed dictatorships! You learn something new every day.
As I said just because you find a publically voted leader morally wrong or reprehensible does not mean they are a dictatorship. If that were the case I could say Thatcher or Obama were dictatorships but no, that is silly.
@ThanosReXXX I didn't see North Korea when I posted, that one as well obviously.
@ThanosReXXX Democratic People's Republic of Korea and they have elections...with one choice on the ballot...
@NintendoKnight can you point to a European country with human rights abuses as bad as Saudi Arabia?
@Slowdive The EU does not allow countries like that in their bloc, if they were truly a dictatorship that does not abide by Merkels rules then they would be gone by now.
Then again the EU is perfectly fine clamping down on peoples rights to vote and self determination (hi Catalonia) when it suits them so maybe the do.
How dubious. As long as SNK gets free rein over everything no problemo, but it seems the Saudis are trying to get their mitts on everything nowadays. First they hosted WWE, then they hosted a Formula E race, and now they've acquired a 33.3% stake in SNK, and even got a street race in Jeddah.
@NintendoKnight come back to me the day all Saudi woman and daughters are treated equally until that day jog on.
@Slowdive u joking about poland right ?
I'm from poland xd
@Benji80 yep game i lovely for me 8/10 and i don't like racing games
AVe Benji80 happy birthday to u !
Will the Saudi Prince pay SNK $10,000 to go on his private yacht and pee on him, or does he only do that stuff with Instagram models?
Can't wait for Mai Shiranui to... well, to not even be Mai Shiranui anymore.
Really? Well in that case I will do my best to refrain from buying their products.
Waiting until a games journalist that reviews an SNK game unfavorably gets taken to a Turkish Embassy with a bone saw.
As it stands, we still have no takeover, still Cashley and still Steve Bruce managing.
Only some will get this reference.
@NintendoKnight Look up what ” racism” means. People who criticize a regime that is know for human right violations isn’t racism.
@BeautyandtheBeer No biggie, man. Happens to the best of us.
@Shufty Yeah... I don't really care about what it says on the country's official label: we all know the ACTUAL truth...
Any THING THAT KEEPS A LEGENDARY company like SNK afloat is fine by me. Companies all round the world buy shares in other companies all time. . A Chinese Company owns most of SNK, Leyou bought a 81.25% share from E Kawasaki (SNK 's original Founder) , I'm sure they care where the money comes from. Nintendo made there money making casino goods for the Yakuza run casinos. Dig deep enough and your find many more dark secrets about many companies I'm sure.
If anything under Leyou SNK has returned more to their former glories , with more console focused releases , The Mini and other projects. Yes it may seem strange that the Saudi Prince has bought 33% shares ,but if it's a public company that's how it goes. It still means that Leyou still owns a 48% share of the company and the main shareholder still.
Maybe where get some Arabian style fighting game. Be a crack
@Gwynbleidd
It worked wonders on Mia Khalifa.
@Nookingtons They should definitely buy out Nintendo.
@Bobb
No, they'll go straight to punching them in the face.
@ucrew
I don't know what's more alarming, if it's homophobia at this very point in time or the fact it managed to snag even just one like.
Over-the-top political correctness is one thing, reverting back to 1800 is quite another.
I didn't know SNK was for sale but I'm surprised Microsoft didn't acquire them. With them buying every studio left and right you'd think they'd be all over a legendary brand like SNK.
SNK (creator of KOF) looks like a company that nobody wants for some reason, if there is a company that would had been perfect to buy SNK it would had been Capcom (creator of Street Fighter), Konami (creator of TMNT: Tournament Fighters), or Arc System Works (creator of BlazBlue and Guilty Gear) as those had made product similar to SNK in the past and had work with them in the past too especially Capcom.
@noobish_hat You can't really compare the rise of that evil to any modern day leader in a democratic country.
Hitler rose to power primarily by preying upon peoples fear and hopelessness caused by the Treaty of Versailles which is an exceptional circumstance we have not seen since. When you are living in the abyss like the vast majority of Germans were, through no fault of their own, then when a charismatic speaker promising radical change you'd bite their hand off as well.
@AlexSora89 sounds way worse and disrespectful
Unless you are talking about the fighting game genre where men and women duke it out by punching each other in the face
@Gwynbleidd
You spelled the verb in the past sense without an H, I'm afraid.
@ucrew
"Phobia" is not meant to be taken literally, you doofus. As a suffix, it means aggressive fear, e.g. "strike them before they do". It means discrimination. It means regress, it means setting society a few centuries back.
I know a few gay people, and they're wonderful people. You don't necessarily have to picture all the gross stuff going on under the sheets. If you do, that's on you.
@Bobb
That's the joke. I fear we're going to get much more mysogyny, provided we even get classic SNK content at all. Unless, you know, the prince just earns money from the games and things keep normal, but I'm really wary.
@NintendoKnight Islam is not a race.
Dear lord, goodbye SNK. This is a man who outright rails against people like me and makes it illegal for people to love who they love. It’s just plain vile for anybody to do business with this man and what he stands for. Seeing the blatant homophobia and general awfulness in this comment section... it’s not hard to see why so many horrible people have a platform.
@AlexSora89 don’t feed the troll
@theJGG It’s subterfuge, same as how Hitler hosted the Olympics. Wow, look how cultured we are as we sweep the decapitated journalists and gross human rights violations under the carpet.
@BeautyandtheBeer Calling North Korea a democracy is like calling Utterly Butterly butter. News just in, not everything is what it says to be.
@AlexSora89 Haha, I got it. I missed the joke on purpose to make my own but kind of regretted it under the risk of sounding insensitive to the misogyny and violence.
I understand where people are comming from with the critics. I only hope SNK comes out okay from this deal.
Wardrobe shenanigans aside, I think games where any gender can compete as equals, be it brains, brawns or both, could actually send a message of equal rights
Leave it to N-Life to find a way to associate the immorality corrupt proceedings of one country to democratically elected ones.
Regardless, this should be more a concern for anyone who is a SNK fan, and many fans of games in general.
This won't be his only acquisition. And his own religious beliefs can assure alteration of the game to benefit him and his culture (this is common, across all spectrums). I can definitely see him looking at Koei-Tecmo, Konami and CD Projekt Red as well. They're within the same financial realm, and each has some fanbase within Saudi citystates.
@noobish_hat Oh I know we are living in exceptional times (well this year anyway) but no one threatening has risen up in any country because of this unless you can provide examples?
@Kirbyboy92 I see your point, but it's still pretty unfortunate.
The man who had journalist Jamal Khashoggi dismembered? That’s a terrible association to take on
King of Fighters Burqa Edition coming soon?
This is very bad and actually concerning, unlike "Tencent sells the Switch in China and therefore Nintendo is a CCP commie!"
@noobish_hat Oh you're one of those who believe all the lies and purposeful misinformation about the mean orange man, yeah that tells me all I need to know about you.
@HarvestGoddess
Is not America guilty of the same things🤔
Still less evil than EA.
@noobish_hat Worldwide conspiracies? Breitbart? Jews? So that's your reaction when a different opinion comes up. I don't believe in the first, never read the second and I actually support Jews and Israel so yeah.
You use a variety of sources to get the facts. All sites have their own agenda but looking at multiple you can see between the lines so to speak.
I read The Guardian, Daily Mail, The Times and some of the red tops. I also view a lot of political YouTubers for US based content since over here it is ALL anti-Trump, anti-right wing drivel. Just turn on the BBC to get a 100% anti-Trump triade.
I don't think Trumps attack on media was entirely justified at first but after the barrage of fake news and hate campaigns against him I can understand it. The Russia hoax, twisting every word he says, the 'he praised neo-nazis' lies, the blatant racist attacks on him. When 99% of the media hates him and tech companies deplatform anyone not following the herd it makes you think.
@PokeNas human rights are important. If we don't care about them, then we all lose.
@noobish_hat Putin is stepping down, it is believed he is doing so because of an illness he has. He's not a "president for life".
As for on the subject of Trump:
Richard Spencer, a leader of Neo-Nazi's and white supremacists endorsed Joe Biden for president and disavowed Trump and the Republican party. I'm sure many of Richard Spencer's followers have done the same.
https://www.newsweek.com/richard-spencer-reiterates-support-biden-disavows-useless-traitorous-gop-1527555
Biden also refereed to Robert Byrd, a member and recruiter for the KKK as his "Boss" in a eulogy he read at Robert Byrd's funeral.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqO_LiKjJjk
I won't disagree, Trump has issues with the press but that's because they spread so much misinformation it's crazy, I wish they were more honest. The Covington kids incident is a good example of their lies. The Media claimed the kids were racist and had provoked Mr. Philips. In reality none of that happened, they were vocally harassed by Black Hebrew Israelites while waiting for their bus to come pick them up and Mr. Philips singled them out of the crowd to harass them too.
https://nypost.com/2019/01/21/case-of-the-covington-kids-is-a-perfect-example-of-media-bias/ (Video evidence is in the article)
About the "anonymous armed groups dragging peaceful protestors off the streets and thrown into vans"... Yeah that's just not true. The "armed groups" were police officers in uniform with their badges visible. They did use unmarked vans though, as most of their vehicles had been destroyed by the rioters, they weren't peaceful protesters and they needed more vehicles to detain these people. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/feds-unmarked-vans-portland/
As for Trump "ignoring the results of a democratic election that he definitively lost in", well, we don't truly know that he has lost yet, no member of the the electoral college has cast a vote for any candidate (as of writing this comment) and there are a lot of suspicious things going on in election. People have come forward and have signed affidavits stating they witnessed tampering or they partook in tampering. https://www.worldtribune.com/in-signed-affidavits-michigan-residents-say-they-witnessed-widespread-voter-fraud-in-detroit/ There have also been a huge influx of dead people voting, I shouldn't even have to explain why that's terrible. Here's an independent journalist proving this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK21F1b5ihc Everyone should want the process to play out and for the election results to be properly verified. I don't want Joe Biden in office for lots of reasons, but if he won legitimately then I will accept him as president.
If you don't believe the sources I have used you are free to do your own research on these topics. I urge you to read and watch news from all across the political spectrum to get a fair and balanced view of the world.
Can we keep Homophobic Islamic beliefs out of beloved video games? thank you.
@Pokester99 You need to calm down and stop projecting your own words and thoughts into other people's comments.
@HanzoWH Reported and Ignored.
How dubious. As long as SNK gets free rein over everything no problemo, but it seems the Saudis are trying to get their mitts on everything nowadays. First they hosted WWE...
@theJGG It's interesting, isn't it? All the airs of cultural purity and superiority, the oft-declared dislike of "the West" and its decadence, and here we have the Saudi government trying to bring symbols of those despised foreigners into the nation's midst. Something to think about.
I fear we're going to get much more mysogyny, provided we even get classic SNK content at all.
@AlexSora89 You say "even more" misogyny. Can you give prior examples? You've posted quite a bit here, and I am curious. My knowledge of SNK is pretty limited; I played and adored Crystalis long ago, and I recently acquired the Anniversary Collection for Switch. I've yet to see any misogyny.
Prego e grazie, amico.
Am too mads of sowdi smk. Will NEVER find rupee for slugging of metals
@AcridSkull Not exactly but Poland is trying it's best!
@Anguspuss lol nice 😂👌
Does that mean there'll be a finishing move where you dismember someone with a bone saw in the next game?
People saying they won't spend anything on SNK anymore. Every large company has something dodgy behind it. Be it Chinese, North Korean or clothes companies that use Asian and African swear shops. Japan itself has no national human rights body.
@Tourtus half of your sources is right-wing nonsense. Give me centrist sources instead.
@Gwynbleidd
E batti cinque, allora!
@Bobb
It's not merely about clothing.
@COVIDberry
You just told me "you're welcome and thank you", but I don't quite grasp what you're thanking me for. Anyway, my fear stems from integrating SNK into a program meant to get past the oil-centric economy the Middle East is (in)famous for. I'm not saying all values associated with middle-eastern culture are inherently "wrong", per se; I'm fearing for how it could, you know, kind of "overwrite" any and all content in SNK's past catalogue.
All Metal Slug games past the first one are still on my wishlist; I'm planning to snag 'em all before a discount out of genuine fear to not find them anymore sooner or later.
@Pokester99 WTF are you going on about "pal"
@khululy I suppose they've got to be the best at something.
SuperHans voice "nice bit of war criminal to go with yer beat em ups"
A very dark day for gaming!
Ugh, I got a bad feeling about this. 😑
I will pass on all their games now! I don’t want my money even indirectly funding the genocide of the Yemeni people.
This is a odd turn of events. It is a fact that development companies get investment from all kinds of places but the worry is the influence they may or may not attempt on free speech within the IP.
The 33% update was oddly positive, but given they now announced they are aiming to take exactly 50%+1 of the stakes can only mean they wish to exert control over the company
I will NEVER give my riyals to dis
I will not get my wallet out for SNK again until they get their ***** sorted out. I REFUSE to give money to someone who commits mass murder, and thinks that anti-LGBT laws and mistreating women and children is okay.
From now, I'll be buying second-hand.
Just reading this headline feels like a YouTube YTP:
Robotnik Becomes the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia
Video Description: And purchases 33% of SNK's stock.
@PlayedNSlayed There is zero fraud evidence. You are an extremist far right conspiratorial nut, which is terrifying. The only coup here is authoritarian chump denying reality, and those who parrots his nonsense. What happened to thinking for yourself? Baaahhhh. 🐑
@Strictlystyles Are a lot of things wrong in the news. Fisrst, the real aquisiction was just 33,3 %. Second, is not possible foreigners adquire more than 49%of japanese companies by japanese laws.
@PlayedNSlayed
Bla bla bla. Skip the incoherent rambling and show the evidence about voter fraud.
As a Saudi 🇸🇦, I find these racist people hating over my country for buying SNK hilarious 😂. But I also find the fact that Nintendo life my favourite Nintendo news site brought over politics to their site is sad and extremely unprofessional from the website staff.
My message to the those racist people is: Travel the world and meet new people. We’re all the same. We’re all humans. Stop the hate.
@Damo My message to Nintendo life staff is: If you wanna talk about politics. Be careful because politics is not a simple game. And always check your sources because most of media talk lies and give misleading informations.
@PlayedNSlayed
Both Republicans AND Democrats have verified that this is one of the most secure elections in all of America’s history.
Why does Trump hate the MSM so much? It’s not because they lie, but rather, because they tell the truth. Trump is always lying to his supporters, and they lap up every single bit of it. When the media says that his claims of voter fraud are baseless, they mean it. Every court case from Trump has been thrown out. Why?
Because there was no fraud.
@Tourtus
“I won't disagree, Trump has issues with the press but that's because they spread so much misinformation it's crazy, I wish they were more honest.”
Wrong. If Trump didn’t like the press because they spread misinformation, he wouldn’t watch FOX News, Newsmax, or OAN.
Then again, to support Trump during these times, you have to ignore facts.
@PlayedNSlayed The only "fraud" that occurred in this election is Republican senators attempting to convince state officials in swing states to throw out Biden ballots and/or send Trump electors in states he lost. But your party is so cartoonishly corrupt that nothing will happen to those officials.
If there was actual evidence of voter fraud, Trump's legal team would have presented it to the predominantly Republican judges who have been laughing him out of court left and right instead of peddling insane conspiracies about voting machines rigged by communists.
Trump spent years setting up an army of lawyers, attempted to destroy the USPS, and did everything possible to disenfranchise as many people as he could, and he STILL lost by millions of votes. I guess that has to sting.
Guess I won't be buying that SNK collection on Nintendo Switch after all. The only game I wanted to play was Crystalis and I can play that on Nintendo Switch Online so that's fine. But I try to avoid supporting any business that has any direct ties to that criminal "royal" family.
@Tourtus @PlayedNSlayed

Reading political comments always cracks me up, I've noticed people say "Well at least we're in a democracy and not a dictatorship." So many uneducated people about what a true democracy even is. Do you even now what a democracy is. I will tell you. A democracy is when you can be out voted by majority and have your rights or other things taken away because majority rules in a democratic society. When's the last time, at least, in a America, where you heard "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the democracy for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" but rather this is what we say in America "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." We're a republic not a democracy, at least in America is how it's supposed to be.
@Ralizah Either way, if it's voter fraud or not, we are always faced with the same "A or B" choice. The appearance of having the freedom of choice by voting in America; however, limited by two presidential nominees I never want to vote for. Most people make a choice of voting for the lesser of two evils. I, for one, can't do that and it's all rigged to some extent and really boils down to the electoral college. Remember voter fraud in Florida, when it was between Al Gore and Bush. Bush still remained with his victory (though there was proven fraud in Florida). I could care less about either Creepy Joe or narcissistic Trump, who will do whatever it takes to win (even denying COVID is real). Most likely, he never had it and it's a way to deceive his followers to get vaccinated as it's on record a lot of vaccinations have mercury or other harmful things in it. All politics are smoke and mirrors and a scheme to just get in to power. When have we actually had a halfway decent president. Right now, we will have a new one in 2021 that is so senile that he forgets who he is and where he is on some of his campaigns. Yeah, I really want that, spear heading our country next year. Can't wait to hear another one of his crazy story about "corn pops" and how he loves kids on his lap. He said that on one of his campaigns I had watched on You tube and he had a nasty pedophilia look in his smile and eyes.
@Rman12 There's no evidence of any sort of widespread adverse effects of mercury-based preservatives in modern vaccines beyond mild irritation at the site of injection.
Anyway, Trump's infection was well-documented. I imagine even most "high risk" people would survive a bout with covid if they made use of expensive antibody treatments and had the best medical care in the world available to them.
I'm not the biggest fan of Joe Biden. I don't know many people who are. But he's a dramatic improvement over the alternative, which is all I need to know when it comes to voting.
If you really care about political transparency in this country, then educate yourself and others about the role of dark money in our elections, and the loopholes in our laws that allow political corruption to continue. Nothing gets fixed until people are aware of the nature and scale of the problem at hand.
Nintendo Life needs to do their research before posting articles.
Some of you miss understand the middle east loves anime they are huge into mechs. Mia isn't gonna go anywhere and we might get a new real Metal Slug. Politics aside this could be good for snk but as it's been stated some really horrible things go on in the region.
@Guest88 Snopes is impartial and Newsweek is left leaning. Even then, it should not matter what the biases are for these media outlets are. They have facts in them. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/newsweek/
@RandomAfricanGamer Neither of those articles disprove the signed affidavits of people who witnessed tampering OR the large list compiled of dead voters who had absentee ballots filled out and sent in on their behalf. Regardless on who got the those votes, those ballots need to be tossed out. Also, Fox News, Newsmax and others get things right from time to time. Fox News called Arizona for Biden awhile before the actual info came in. They guessed correctly on that. Also, if you believe that Trump truly lost the election then it won't matter what his legal teams will pull up. Let him and his lawyers waste their time and money on this probable wild witch hunt. If you truly believe nothing suspicious happened then all investigations should be allowed to continue and be welcomed with open arms.
I highly urge both of you to watch and read what, conservatives, centrists and liberals are saying in the news. Come to your own conclusion with what information you get from them. You CAN'T go to one outlet and expect to hear or read the full story on a subject.
Watch Ben Shapiro, (Rightist) Tim Pool (Centrist) and David Pakman (Leftist) on YouTube or find their podcasts on your preferred streaming services and listen while you do other tasks. I recommend these three as they're popular among their groups and they always try their best to tell the truth. Expand your media consumption to other pundits and outlets from there.
What does this have anything to do with Joe Biden vs Donald Trump?

These investigations have been allowed to continue. However, they have been disproved in court multiple times.
“Also, Fox News, Newsmax and others get things right from time to time. Fox News called Arizona for Biden awhile before the actual info came in.”
FOX is actually pushing back against the Coup Conspiracy. That’s why delusional Trumpers are moving to Newsmax so that they can keep feeding them the narrative that Trump actually won and ThE dEeP sTaTe rigged the election.
“Watch Ben Shapiro, (Rightist) Tim Pool (Centrist) and David Pakman (Leftist) on YouTube or find their podcasts on your preferred streaming services and listen while you do other tasks.”
Last time I saw Ben, he was ranting that Harry Styles wearing a skirt is destroying masculinity or something.
Tim Pool is not a centrist. He’s center-right.
David Pakman seems nice. I don’t have a problem with him right now.
This comment is a dumpster fire as expected. The world is not black and white, people.
You can hate the Saudi royal family and all the many, many crimes they have committed but to indict the entire country’s people because of their leaders actions IS inexcusable and racist since you NEVER see that standard applied to western countries.
Like, yes, they are very anti-LGBT but (a) the people themselves are being fed that propaganda for the reason, (b) Just because America legalized same sex marriage does not mean the society in that country isn’t deeply homophobic at its core, (c) you’re ignoring the thousands upon thousands of LGBT people and allies in Saudi Arabia who ARE fighting for equality, and finally (d) those people will forever be more important and brave than you writing a vaguely racist comment in a video game website comment section.
@RandomAfricanGamer That's the point of listening to Ben and others you don't like, just listen to their ideas, even if you think they are dumb. You can't just listen to David Pakman on his own because you like or agree with him, you need to listen to others so you're not in an echo chamber of the same ideas. Don't just watch or listen to snippets of their shows either, go to their official sources like Ben's YouTube channel or Tim's YouTube channel and listen to the full show. Also Tim is a left leaning centrist if anything, he believes in abortion and taxing the rich more to fund social programs and other left wing ideas, he just doesn't want to push those ideas to the extreme. He also has to explain on multiple occasions that he is a centrist or left leaning centrist because of the rumor that he is right wing. He used to work for Vox.
I don't care in the slightest what some Trump supporters want to believe, the truth will come out at some point and they'll have to live with it, regardless of what the truth is.

Here's the full list of over 10,000 people who've passed away and had ballots sent in on their behalf. The list was compiled an independent right wing journalist. The list was cross referenced with the Social Security Death Index and public orbituries for accuracy. You can look up these names yourself to verify.
Here's the video where he explains why the list is true and how the "fact" checkers are wrong.

This list should not be ignored, as I said before in an earlier comment, "I don't want Joe Biden in office for lots of reasons, but if he won legitimately then I will accept him as president." I just want everything to be properly verified and that the election was as tamper free as possible. EVERYONE should want that. Let the legal processes play out, ignore the fringe crazy supporters on both sides and wait for the verified results before celebrating or arguing with the opposing side. The reality is we don't know who won and none of the members of the electoral college have cast their votes for either candidate.
@westman98 Nothing, the topic got out of hand, this happens a lot when real world issues are brought anywhere. Things always get out of hand, especially when people use bad comparisons.
I love how Nintendolife is just sitting back, enjoying all the views and comments that the site and this page is getting right now while people argue in the comments, overall just giving NL more money.
NintendoLife are the real winners in this thread and they knew that when they were creating it.
@tourtus
I should’ve clarified on Pakman: I don’t watch him much at all. Like I said, seems nice.
I saw the link and the video, and it seems like the news outlets have said that it looks fake. If it was real, then I’d imagine that the Trump Admin would’ve brought it to court. So far, they haven’t yet, so I’m not gonna hold my breath.
“The reality is we don't know who won and none of the members of the electoral college have cast their votes for either candidate”
We know for a fact from republican election officials that Biden won fair and square.
Can't post something related to Saudi Arabia without bursting into a politics heavy comment section.
This was to be expected.
@RandomAfricanGamer @Bizaster I already said I'd accept the results if Joe Biden truly wins. I'm just skeptical of what has happened. You both should be as well. As of now, Trump is still president until January and his legal team still has time to contest the results. It's not official any candidate won. That's why I keep saying to wait and see. "Republican election officials" don't call the victor of the election, neither does any media outlet, they can predict who won all they want but the electoral college, the supreme court and house delegates decide who wins and none of them have chosen a winner. (the court and house are fail-safes in case the elector college fails in some way) I'm not claiming Trump has won, I'm not claiming Biden has won, I'm simply saying everything must be verified to be true before keeping the current president or instating a new president.
The list is true, I don't know if it'll be brought in as evidence or not or they'll compile their own list. We'll wait and see.
In case this is my last comment on the subject, I'd like to say thank you, RandomAfricanGamer, for being polite this whole time.
@weisske I'd prefer they let it continue, discussion is healthy. As long as people remain respectful then I see no issue. Nothing so far seems to violate the community rules.
@tourtus
No problem. 👍🏿
@RandomAfricanGamer well...... since this comment section is already derailed to hell already (heh heh)...
Can I safely assume you're from Africa? If so, which nation? I grew up in Nigeria myself.
@Ralizah USPS has been financially unstable for years now. This year they got $10 billion to stay afloat from the Federal Government, the same branch Trump is in charge of. I always thought the claim that Trump was trying to destroy the USPS was bizarre especially since he loves high employment numbers, it wouldn't make sense for him to let it die and leave thousands unemployed.

@veeflames
I’m from Ghana! However, I was born in the US.
@RandomAfricanGamer on hey, I'm in a similar situation! I was born in the US, but my parents are from Nigeria. I was unique in that I grew up in Nigeria, however as opposed to growing up in the US lol.
Nice to meet you, maybe we can play games together later. Just let me know!
@Tourtus
It's well-documented how Trump has attempted to both starve the post service of funding to sabotage his opponent's chances in the election (https://apnews.com/article/14a2ceda724623604cc8d8e5ab9890ed) and use emergency loans as a form of leverage (https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/04/23/10-billion-treasury-loan-usps/).
In addition to Louis DeJoy making changes that hobbled the postal service even further (again, close to an election where a hobbled mail service would benefit the president, shockingly).

As to the USPS in general, while it has struggled to stay afloat even before the pandemic made everything dire, a huge aspect of that failure was a Republican-led congress passing the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act, which required them to prefund the health and retirement benefits of their employees for 50+ years.
Here's a bit from the Inspector General on that: https://www.uspsoig.gov/blog/be-careful-what-you-assume
It's a pattern that has become well-established over the years: Republicans trying to cripple government institutions, and then pointing to them afterward as justification for their 'government is incompetent/drown the government in the bathtub' approach to governance. And, in this case, it was part of a rather bumbling attempt at mass voter disenfranchisement. Thankfully, announcing an authoritarian power grab months ahead of time gives the rest of the country time to respond.
Peak 2020, now I don't like SNK.
@Slowdive How is the "US under Trump" in any way a dictatorship? You clearly have no idea of what a real dictatorship is.
@Ralizah Hm... I see, he did mess with the USPS but his concern with the USPS was about mail in ballots, which everyone should be concerned about. They're banned in France because they are easy to tamper with yet no one complains about "voter disenfranchisement" there. Not saying Trump was in the right for doing what he did (because messing with people's livelihoods is awful) but you have to admit sending out ballots en mass is a bad idea. Right? (the French know it's a bad idea) Absentee ballots are different from mail in ballots because absentee ballots must be requested by the voter who will fill them out. Mail ins are sent everywhere all willy nilly with little security. Tim Pool, a centrist political commentator even got a mail in ballot sent to him with someone else's name on it. There were also reports in the news of people getting mail in ballots for their pets. I'm sure those same errors happened thousands of times. Personally, I think the only people who should be able to vote through absentee ballots are the medically impaired, military personnel and emergency workers (like firefighters) absentee ballots can also be fraudulent so they should be limited to those who truly cannot go to the polls. To make it easier for people who CAN go to the polls, election day should be a national holiday where everyone has off or at least everyone should be given a 2 or 3 hour break to go and vote in person.
"Republicans trying to cripple government institutions," is not a bad thing, trust me, you want a weaker and smaller government. The smaller it is the less you pay in taxes (more money for the things you personally need or want, and the more you have to give to charities to help your communities) and the weaker it is the lower chance it can be used to quash human rights or become authoritarian. The USPS might not have the abilities to do those sorts of things but other institutions can. I also don't think voters were disenfranchised. Polling locations were open all over the country, if someone thought their vote was important enough they could show up and vote. Heck, the head of CDC said it was safe to vote in person, after all it's safe to go to the store, why would the polls be different? I voted in person and the whole place took COVID extremely seriously. They had me sign my name on the screen with a disposable cotton swab and gave me a pen to fill in my ballot and told me to take the pen home, which I did. They would also clean voting booths after people left them, and masks were required. While I was in line a women came in with her mail in ballot and deposited it herself. For whatever reason poll workers announced to the entire room that they got another mail in ballot when she dropped it in the box. So even the people who were voting by mail still went in person to drop the ballot off. No one was stopped from voting and they went overboard (in my opinion) with health precautions.
In the end, the USPS lives on to see more days despite Trump's initial attempts to let it rot and everyone who could and wanted to vote did so it all worked out, it was just a mess and still is.
@Slowdive The U.S. government is designed to not allow for dictatorships, we have three major branches designed so that no one person could control the entire country. The current system would need to be overthrown completely and each state would need to be conquered. As long as governmental power is never centralized to one branch no dictator can emerge here.
