Got mine (technically) yesterday and I cannot express just how good they look. The attention to detail make these some of the best looking yet. Seriously,.if you've been on the fence over these sets, I highly recommend them 😁👌

I was at GameStop yesterday (I usually don't buy my games there) and the employee said preorder were done and they even had to cancel some of them. I went to the My Nintendo Store and both were available, so I took the opportunity to buy them, while claiming some My Nintendo Rewards. Have to wait for the shipping.

Love the idea of Amiibo, but they don’t seem to be utilized.

Man...these are nice but I kinda stopped playing Splatoon 3 after awhile...

Plus, I'm not much of a Amiibo buyer/collector/fan since it's kinda of a headache to get certain ones.

I might pick up Pearl and Marina since I never got their other ones. Never actually bought Splatoon 3 and at this point probably won't, so it's kind of entirely for the aesthetic if I do.

@TerryTrowbridge They struggled to find a balance between what it adds being meaningful but not feeling like physical DLC, and more or less gave up at this point. Wolf Link amiibo did it best IMO - it had great, unique functions for multiple games but wasn't stuff you'd be kicking yourself for not having. They might not do anything now, but at least they look a lot better.

Nah. I like keeping my splatoon amiibo to one version of each character. The OG Callie and Marie look way better anyway. Splatoon 1 for life.

What do these Amiibo provide in game? I don't care about having figurines. What do they add to Splatoon 3? Do they add anything to any other Nintendo games?

I stopped collecting amiibo a while ago, but my son is getting both sets.

They're really hard to find in my country but I managed to snag some off the Nintendo Store! Yes! They'll arrive eventually... ^^'

I am interested but I already have a different versions of callie and marie and pearl and marina so this feels a little lazy.

The silver and gold ink on the Pearl and Marina ones is really cool. But I'll probably pass on these because I'm honestly just sick of Nintendo releasing more figures of the same characters over and over again when they could do so many other original characters.
