Review Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS)
Gotta recruit 'em all
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon is very much a rollercoaster ride, frequently oscillating between highs and lows. Just when you think you can't bear the tedium any longer something interesting happens that pulls you right back in. On the other hand, just when things are starting to get good it levels off and you're forced to...

News Twilight Princess HD Holds Top 10 Place in UK Charts
Pokemon gives 3DS a minor presence
The UK chart results for last week have emerged, and in the absence of any knockout new releases for Nintendo - though next week will include Pokkén Tournament - the focus has been on momentum for key titles. Namely, we're referring to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, which had an impressive debut week...
News The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Leads the Way for Nintendo in UK Charts
Number one in the single-format results
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is the first of what Nintendo hopes will be a few key releases for Wii U in the next few months. The remaster of the previously successful Wii launch title (which also landed late on GameCube), it's also responsible for kickstarting the year's 30th Anniversary...

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon also shows decent momentum
Bravely Second: End Layer recently made its debut in Europe, and it's certainly another one to add to the list of excellent RPG experiences on the 3DS. The sequel delivers on various fronts, and has had a decent start in the UK charts. On its debut week the Nintendo / Square Enix-published...

The UK market had two notable retail releases last week on 3DS, and the positive news is that one made a solid impact on the charts while another did well in the 3DS-only results. Nintendo Download 18th February (Europe)
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon! Return to PopoloCrois! DLC! A bit more!
With the start of a week comes the European Nintendo Download Update details. This time around Nintendo isn't aiming to overwhelm us with options (OK, that's a generous interpretation) but there are some tempting options nevertheless. We have two enticing retail releases on 3DS,...
Parent Trap Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon Gets Personal
Family Gamer's Andy Robertson gets asked some probing Poké-questions
Creating games for children is tricky because it's the small things that make the biggest difference. My kids often get as much fun from unintended consequences of the main game as they do completing the campaign. I've been reminded of this while playing Pokémon Super Mystery...
Video See What Pops Does While You're Away in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon
Begone, foul fantasy!
For those of you that have played Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, you may remember Pops the Carracosta. This Pokémon acts as the parent of your partner in the game, and rebukes the two of them on occasion as they get into mischief. Pops is arguably one of the more memorable characters in this roguelike adventure, and evidently...

The Yo-Kai basics, again
Yo-Kai Watch is just a few days away from its release in North America, as Nintendo and series developer Level 5 aim to turn it into the next major success story for the 3DS. The IP is hugely successful in Japan, but the question remains as to whether it can replicate that performance in the West. Based on the launch...

@Yeahman C'mon, you know it's Super Mystery Dungeon Turbo HD Remix
I love this game
Personally, I give this game a 9/10, if only for the story.
9/10.
My only real criticism is that I feel the ending and lack of story in the postgame hampers it a bit... but this game is incredible.
The gameplay is extremely fun, with the emeras guaranteeing that every run through a dungeon is unique while also adding a new layer of strategy that goes hand in hand with the vast amount of Pokémon options and item selection of series’ past. Enemies are more than just pushovers now, as they can take quite a beating, which makes the use of items more valuable. They take what worked in previous entries, and built upon them.
The story is also great, and serves as a love letter to series veterans with a ton of references, and also a brilliant starting point (I would know!), as this story is completely new. While it’s slow to start, that slowness lets the characters fully develop, which is especially true for the partner, who is my favourite in the series.
Overall a great package, though I understand that not every likes the gameplay due to how different it is the standard Pokémon. But if you want what I would say is the best Pokémon experience on 3DS, I’d look into it!
