Just a few weeks after the 'Worlds Part I' expansion, Hello Games is back with another No Man's Sky update. This one adds a feature that we suspect will be welcomed with open arms from all players: fishing!

In a brief update from Sean Murray, the team at Hello Games was inspired by a piece of artwork submitted to Reddit following the last update, in which a sole fisherman is sitting atop his ship, fishing pole in hand, waiting for something to finally snag the bait.

So yes, fishing is now a thing in No Man's Sky. Players will be able to catch a wide array of fish, from "common minnows to wild alien catches", all of which come with their own unique catching conditions. The update even adds a new fishing expedition which sends players out to find the biggest catch of the day.

New items will also be added to aid in your fishing adventures, including fishing pots and full-on fishing platforms. New cooking recipes will be included so you can take full advantage of your latest aquatic find.

The new 'Aquarius' update for No Man's Sky will launch tomorrow (that's 5th September) and will be free for all players.
