I would like the screen to have some kind of anti reflective coating that meant you never have to see your own face's reflection when the game goes to a black screen!

The feeling you would get could be similar, but with the Super Nintendo Paradise you have the guarantee of not having a bad experience. And it would be totally legal.

@Coversnail Can't that be achieved with a frosted/matte screen protector/vinyl? You would probably lose the popping colors though.

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

Not so much a wacky idea just something that I don't think a lot of people have noticed. The Switch supports all of the Switch controllers, obviously, but also GC controllers via the official GC controller adaptor. There are also official SNES, NES and N64 controllers. Which means the only controllers the Switch doesn't support are the ones for Wii U and Wii.... which with the exception of the Wii U GamePad were all bluetooth and so COULD be supported if they wanted

So my wacky idea is this. Switch 2 launches, Nintendo expands NSO to include Wii and GC titles. WiiMote support is added and they put WiiMotes in the Nintendo store

When you go sleeping the device makes you fall asleep and you instantly start dreaming. In this dream you can keep playing the game from where you left. The progress you make in the dream will be saved and when you wake up again, you can keep playing from that save. The body and mind will be refreshed.

And no worries if you wander too deep in your dreams by using the sleep mode again and again in your dreams. The device will wake you up from the real world, when enough time has passed. Of course you can also decide for yourself to wake up from the menu.

Edit: Of course you could combine the sleeping mode function with the functions of the Super Nintendo Paradise, which I already mentioned.

The Switch Advance will be made of a strange slimelike formula that can shape into anything. In its usual state, its a powerful handheld like the current switch. But once you come to a cool part or your game, the slime will bring it alive by reshaping. An example of this is when you come to the final boss fight in Super Mario Sunshine Two, the slime switch advance slips out of your hands and transforms into bowser, and only you can defeat him in your living room! this also provides exercise! also nintendo is not responsible if you get eaten by bowser-use at you own risk!

afk for a lot of fall, very busy month! still spying on yall :3

A dual screen feature (in Portability Mode) so that DS and 3DS games can get a second life, as well as some new games making use of it somewhat.

Automatic upscaling of Wii, N64 and GC games (3D polygons, textures) to HD and widescreen. Use DLSS or something to upscale textures to HD. Make such games available in eShop/NSO. No remasters necessary. Pair this idea with skywake's idea of Wiimote support. Joycons are a poor substitute for Wiimotes.

Also, multiple gamecard slots so we don't have to keep swapping them.

This is far from anything I'd ever expect IRL, but then again, that's the point of the thread I guess. Here's what I'll refer to as the "Play Plaza". A free feature that comes along with the Switch 2 in a similar manner to the minigames on 3DS. Think of something like the hubs in the Splatoon games, but far more expansive and with Miis. In some ways you could think of it as the successor to things like the Mii Plaza, Streetpass, and Miiverse (Minus the controversial stuff of Miiverse.) You can walk around and see all the different Miis, view players most recent games, recommendations, play times, etc. It'd basically be taking the Switch profile menu and sort of game-ifying it to make it more fun. You can invite people from your friends list to explore the world as a group (Or make friends with people you meet out-and-about), play minigames together, maybe earn some platinum coins as part of an achievement system. (Mind you, I'd love an achievement system like the other consoles, but I don't see Nintendo doing it myself.) You could take those coins and buy cosmetics for your Mii, decorations for your house, maybe buy a bike or skateboard to get around the island in a fun way (Aside from the obvious fast-travel system), etc. Best part? No microtransactions. (I know the idea of no microtransactions sound very generous, but it's a fantasy list, let me dream. Or at least have it function to how Streetpass priced it's additional games.) The world itself can basically be a souped-up sequel to Wuhu Island, with all sorts of buildings and attractions to visit. Kind of like a virtual theme park. And whenever you're ready to hop into a game, just open the pause menu and select it. Basically, just think of it as a fun alternative to picking games from the home menu. I know I'm not sounding as eloquent as I could be, (I'm typing this while very tired ^-^' ) but I hope my inane rambling got my point across. If any of you have any ideas of what you'd add to such a feature, or your own thoughts, let me know. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea!

Hmmm... I got it! You know how in Super Mario 64, where you'd jump through paintings to visit the various worlds? How about make the Switch 2 make a portal that you'd go through, so that you could physically be in any game you want! Basically, a virtual reality kind of deal. You'll also transform into the main character of whatever game you're playing, too. So you'll be Mario in the next Mario platformer, Link in the next Zelda game, your playable villager in the next Animal Crossing game, etc. For games with multiple playable characters, like Mario Kart, you'd just be your Mii at first before picking your character.

The Switch 2's game portals would also be made so that you don't have to have the console turned on when you hop on in. That way, nobody would have to worry about the power going out or the battery running out. No time limits or anything. Just hop on in, and enjoy exploring the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond without any worries, and you can head back to real life anytime you want.

@MarioVillager92 Being inside the Marioverse would be a nightmare... just think of all the truly horrible deaths Mario has by being impaled on spikes, crushed flat by thwomps, burned alive by fire bars, falling down pits... Over and over. Not to mention you ram your head against hard bricks every 10 seconds or so. That is not a world I would want to portal into.

3DS port. That feels pretty cray cray for me but I keep hoping Nintendo will do it or a 3DS player.

@FishyS Ok I'm sorry for coming up with that idea. I'd also make it so that you wouldn't actually feel stuff like spikes and lava, if Mario games were to use that portal idea I came up with. Or just only use that idea for Animal Crossing.

@Novamii I really like that idea, can't really see it actually happening of course but maybe the Mii house part wouldn't be too out of the question as a kind of customisable page you can share with your friends. It could even have special unlockable items or background music tracks for playing certain games, which from a business perspective would probably encourage sales the same way some people buy PlayStation games just for the trophies.

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online
