Give us an actual release date on Decapolice and stick to it please, I understand they have to take time to make an awesome game…but that 2023 direct just showed how premature everything was announced.

Maybe we're finally getting Rogue Galaxy 2 (I wish).

Still hoping for an English version of Yo-kai Watch 4, but that ship has probably sailed by now. Looking forward to Layton and the mysterious “Ghost Craft” game!

Ushiro is cancelled twice and dead again, I think. But, it will be a nice surprise if we will get this game after all this time... Though, chances are pretty miserable.

Not sure September 24th is a “summer” showcase but better late than never. Love Level-5 games but hate their delays and unprofessional communication as they still haven’t officially told us that the Yokai Watch 4 localisation is no longer happening. (Announced for localisation at Anime Expo 2019 since then silence. Pretty rude to the fans)

Sounds interesting. I'm not too familiar with Level-5's profile on the games they've worked on besides Inazuma Eleven, Yokai Watch, & Professor Layton.

Wasn't Level-5 the company that said they weren't going release any more games in the West just a few years ago? What changed?

All I want is True Fantasy Live Online but that will never happen.

Rogue Galaxy Remaster also good. One game I missed back in the day but heard great things about.

Or Dark Cloud 2.

I think they should probably have prioritised actually getting the games they have in development out of the door rather than announcing constant new stuff despite their prior finance issues. They couldn’t even get fantasy life out for October and it’s been ages since that was revealed.

What about us adults who act like children because we never grew up?

With the lull in Pokemon releases, this summer would have been the next perfect time to get Yo-kai Watch 4 onto western Switches. Seems crazy that they have a solid game just waiting for localisation all this time. Could have sold decent numbers over the life of the Switch if they hadn't shelved it.

Whilst I'm interested in the upcoming Layton, Decapolice, and Fantasy Life games, the multiple delays have got me concerned. Hopefully this event will give some reassurance.

Can they maybe not announce new games before they finish a few of the old ones?

Some actual release dates would be nice. Especially for games releasing outside of Japan.

I still (beyond all reasonable hope) wish that YW4 would actually release along with the remasters made for the Switch. But I digress…

On another note, this is why Level 5 has fallen behind and probably led to the closure of the western offices… The company bites off so much more than they can feasibly chew and their expectations were always sky-high in what they expected profit wise from their products. They really did have a goldmine with the Yokai series, games and toys but not only did they not balance it well (oversaturation with spin-offs and going crazy on the medals/keys) but they didn’t really seem to have a set direction for it and let what success it did have go to their heads. And don’t get me started on how it was handled translation-wise here in the West. It felt… janky by comparison to its original version. I mean, I can understand not every pun name if the monsters would translate well, but they also did a major disservice by treating their target audience (kids) like idiots and dumbed down a lot of stuff with the localization which made it feel… uninteresting. YW4 did a lot of neat things with the story and the battle mechanics but the tragedy of the offices shuttering after it was announced for the West was just… ugh.

With that said, I really can’t wait to play Decapolice and Fantasy Life i

I'm really hoping Fantasy Life releases either late this year (November/December) or very early next year (January/February). If it's any later, I might just forget about the game all together. Delaying it once is understandable, maybe twice.. but they've done this three to four times now. Enough is enough.

The second one is irredeemable trash and should be skipped, no matter what. Horrible JRPG and my most disliked one of all time

I know the chances of any of these are slim but I'd love them to revisit some older IPs like Dark Cloud, White Knight Chronicles, Rogue Galaxy or Jeanne D'arc.

Kind of hard to get too interested in announcements of new games from Level-5 given there's little indication they'll actually, like, RELEASE them.

Another new game announcement? Can they just finish what they've already announced before making more?

@Maubari I actually really disliked the original game and I feel like I would enjoy the sequel more. Gameplay in the original just feels extremely clunky given how you control multiple characters at once.

Still a lot to look forward to on my switch. I’ll be really happy to see more from professor Layton, fantasy life, and possibly anything yokai.

@VoidofLight Oooof, really? Yeah, uhm... not sure how to respond to that to be honest. The first game is by no means perfect - battle system is kinda awkward, I agree - but the rest of the game is so well done and so well put together (Especially compared to the second) that I can't comprehend when somebody says the sequel is better haha

They've casually teased Dark Cloud 3 for years but 20 years later I've given up...but if they did it....I would lose my mind.

@Maubari I never played the sequel despite owning it, so I have no clue if it's better than the originally through and through. I just feel like the gameplay will be at least less clunky than the OG game. It's probably going to be a case where it's an entirely different game from the original but with the same world and the name slapped on.

@VoidofLight The battle system IS alot better in 2, I'll admit: Everything else, however, is a massive let down. You know what - I think you SHOULD give 2 a try. Even though I strongly dislike it, I think you might actually like it.. and I don't think it's expensive nowadays either, so I don't think you can go wrong

I think it's funny how many time level 5 delayed the new fantasy life game. I mean, the original fantasy life on nintendo 3ds released near the end of the 3da lifespan. Fantasy life i is probably going to release near the end of the nintendo switch lifespan. Doesn't this affect sales in a bad way? (Except if it's ging to release on next-gen also).

And then about this release date pushing back like twice. I mean, c'mon, my interest is completely gone by now. I understand that developing a game is a very complex process and takes a huge amount of time, which can lead to a delay. But promising us an initial release in 2023 and ending up somewhere in 2025 (and delaying 2 times???)? The release date was estimated extremely poorly here if you'd ask me. Would've been better if they didn't announce anything last year, let the game cook already.

I used to love Level 5 back in the PS2/DS days because I knew anything with their name on it was going to be quality. I hope they have a massive resurgence even if the team has likely changed radically since then.

Seeing DECAPOLICE again would be nice.

Personally, I still want a Yokai Watch 4 western release to happen but I guess a completely new game would be fine too if they localized it right away.

Also, please advertise your games here Level-5. The way Megaton Musashi released in the West was silly.
