Features NES Homebrew Is Where The Heart Is
How two indie developers are keeping the system kicking after all these years
It’s nigh impossible to overstate the importance of the Nintendo Entertainment System in video game history: its popularity pretty much single-handedly revived the home game console market in the US, which had crashed a few years before the NES’s October 18th, 1985...
News Brand New NES Platformer Released
Get 'em while they're...uh gone.
For those who don't know, Sivak Games has released a brand new NES platformer via RetroZone which has completely sold out its initial launch quantity almost immediately after being listed for sale. Rest assured, RetroZone has stated that more carts are being produced and will be available for sale on the site...
About The Game
After having uncovered a plot to build a Supermech, you head to an ancient high-tech fortress in an effort to prevent this weapon from being completed.
You must navigate through the various sectors of the fortress, while battling its denizens and avoiding its many dangers.
Along the way, you will uncover items that will allow progress to new locations of the fortress and grant you new abilities.
Over 550 rooms, more than 30 enemy types, and 8 bosses stand between you and victory.
Also featured are 5 difficulty settings and a password system.

I want this game! Any chance we'll see it on the VC? LOL

Wow, demo is kicking my butt! Gonna have to dig up a proper gamepad. Keyboard won't cut it.
This is one I gotta keep my eye on.
I just got my copy in the mail today. Loving it. It makes me wish more people would still release games for the NES. Sure Mega Man 9+10 and similar retro releases are cool, but.. nothing like getting a new cartridge and putting it in your NES and gaming on. I also got Sivak's Mystic Pillars and I must say that is an excellent Columns clone. The different tile skins add an awesome touch, heh. Anyways.. if you like I Want To Be The Guy and/or Mega Man and want a newly released game for the NES, this is the game to get.
waiting for this to be available again so i can get it.
one of his guys said he was working on a sequel...
