About The Game
Coming from the home of video game cricket, Ashes Cricket 2009 is set to build on the heritage that Codemasters has enjoyed with its best-selling Brian Lara series and will continue to lead the field with great batting, bowling and fielding gameplay and authenticity that made the series a huge hit with cricket fans the world over.
Providing gamers with the most authentic Ashes experience possible without having to don their whites, Ashes Cricket 2009 is fully licensed by the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board), the MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club, the world's most famous cricket club and owner of the Ashes urn) and Cricket Australia, providing the game with all the official players, kit, stadia – including Lords and The Brit Oval – and equipment from this year’s npower Ashes Series.
Delivering all the exciting, athletic, skilful and technical elements of the sport, the game’s comprehensive ‘Ashes’ mode will feature all five Tests played out at carefully detailed recreations of each authentic venue. In addition, gamers will also be able to play Test matches, One Day Internationals, 20 over games and a series of challenge modes. The high definition current generation versions will feature full online multiplayer as well as support for local multiplayer games.

I play cricket sometimes with my friend.
Cricket is the best sport ever !!!!
Cricket rulezzz!!!
I await this game
I am crazy about cricket. I play for my prepschool. I have been waiting for a game like this.
I could see cricket working really well on Wii. The Wiimote could be used for batting and bowling, obviously, and they could use a similar idea to the jogging on Wii Fit to simulate the running. Not sure about fielding though.
My vocabulary is as limited as my ability to concoct original usernames.
finally, cricket on the wii. ive been waitin for this since the wii came out. hope it's good
i cant wait for this game to be out me and my friend rebecca play cricket sometimes .. puh

I am 9 years old boy and crazy about the cricket and want to ask about the price of Ashes Cricket 2009 game for wii ?
I have ordered the Ashes Cricket 2009 for my Wii and can't wati to reach my door.
Wii will be the best consol to play cricket. Both batting and fielding.
Especially the bowling side.
If somebody can make a ball with sensor inside and strap on wrist, then we can do all the variety of bowling (spin, fast, medium) everything. That will be cool.
Even throwing to make run out, can be done flawlessly with the MotionPlus incorperate within a cricket ball.
Batting.. yeah.. what about making a MotionPlus Bat..
The possibilities are so many...
I'm sure this game will not be coming to NA.
The guy on the cover looks like Brack Obama.
Let me know when the US version would come. I am dying to buy the same.

I know there is a NTSC and PAL factor plays here. But is there any way to solve the issue ?
Why is this game always in the "Popular games" section, mostly number 1, when there is 19 comments. Not much people think its great yet its number 1. The "Popular games" section is fixed!
